    Abstract In this chapter, the use of pillared clays as catalysts in green oxidation reactions is considered. Several catalytic oxidation reactions have been selected, and special attention is given to the reaction products and to the yields achieved. TiO 2-pillared clays with well-ordered porous structures are successfully prepared via incorporating TiO 2 nanosol particles into the clays, where empty octahedral sites are partially modified with divalent metal ions such as Mg 2+ and Fe 2+.The prepared TiO 2-pillared mica exhibits excellent photocatalytic activity, which can be controlled by tuning the optical transparency of clay support.
